Lesson Plans - Teaching Ideas
• Start with level 1 (Easy) and enable help level to make the ghosts disappear. This way students will focus on addition and subtraction with amounts up to 10.
• Progress to level 2 (Medium) when students are comfortable with numbers up to ten. Keep the help level active until they are comfortable with operations up to 20.
• Level 3 (Hard) includes operations up to 100. Use the help level the first time to help students become familiar with operations involving larger amounts.
• For practice at home, use the printouts with euro addition and subtraction exercises. Children can simultaneously use the laminated coins and banknotes from printouts 02 and 03 from the "Shopping with Euros" application to verify their answers.
• Organize group play with the "Castle-Snakes" board game for 2-4 players. Laminate and cut out the question cards. Place a random card each time in the bottom left of the board. Remember to remove each card that has been used, whether answered correctly or incorrectly.
• In the board game, when a player lands on a key, they must answer a question. With a correct answer, they stay in position, while with a wrong answer, they move back 2-3 spaces (as initially agreed upon by the participants). The winner is the first to reach the castle's big key.
• Always ensure sufficient time for working with the printouts. The generalization of knowledge and the transition from screen to the real world is a very important process in learning.
