The user has to find the sum of the coins that is equivalent to the coin or bill shown on the train locomotive!

Lesson Plans - Ideas

We only play with two (2),   three (3),   four (4) or   five (5) addition terms.

• We only play with bills and coins ≥ 1€.

• We only play with coins ≥ 10C.

We always have time available to deal with the printouts as well. Generalizing knowledge and moving from the screen to the real world or vise versa is a very important process.

The children use the laminated cards (printouts 1 and 2), the laminated coins and notes (printout 3) at the same time as using the program on the computer or tablet.

We use the app as an interactive teaching tool ignoring the timer. We give each child the time they need to answer correctly and help them every step of the way by also using the laminated coins (printout no. 3).

  2. Θα μπορούσε ίσως το 0 (μηδέν) να είναι επίσης μια επιλογή ανάμεσα στις άλλες αξίες που χρησιμοποιούνται για να πετύχουν τα παιδιά το σύνολο μιας εξίσωσης; π.χ. 0+10+10=20

    • Ευχαριστούμε πολύ για το σχόλιο Στέλλα! Στον αρχικό σχδιασμό είχαμε συμπεριλάβει την επιλογή να μην απαιτείται να τοποθετηθεί ένα νόμισμα σε κάθε βαγόνι ώστε να ολοκληρωθεί το άθροισμα. Κάποια λοιπόν είχαν 0 νομίσματα αλλά η άσκηση κρινόταν ως σωστή. Όμως διαπιστώσαμε ότι τα παιδιά ανέπτυξαν την τάση να χρησιμοποιούν συνέχεια τα αθροίσματα που γνώριζαν αρχικά και να μην προσπαθούν να φτιάξουν το άθροισμα με περισσότερους προσθετέους. Αυτός είναι και ο λόγος που το αφαιρέσαμε.
